Порядок слов в специальном вопросе:

1) вопросительное слово (см. выше)

2 вспомогательный глагол (модальный, глагол- связка)

3) подлежащее

4) смысловой глагол

5) дополнения

6) обстоятельства (места, времени, образа действия)

NB:

В специальных вопросах, обращенных к подлежащему в формах Present иPast Indefinite, не употребляется глагол do (did) и сохраняется прямой порядок слов: Who wants to go to the cinema? Who lives in this town? Т.е. просто выбрасывается подлежащее, а на его место ставится вопросительное слово (He reads a book. Who reads a book?)

I live in Orenburg. Where do I live?

I lived in Orenburg. Where did I live?

I have finished the school. What have I finished?
